These images are of environments that are now absent. The pieces range in size from 8" x 12", to 24" x 30" executed in pen and ink, gouache, and oil paint. The hills of Coming Home no longer exist, being covered by tract homes. Shinumo Creek, of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, was washed out by torrential rains 2 years after this hike. Ash Hollow in Nebraska stands a better chance of surviving the press of humanity, but only time will tell.
