These are portraits of "Family", whether it be equine or human. A portrait may be anything of significant nature for the observer, some more traditional, some a bit more liberal. I enjoy capturing moments of a personal nature, but will approach anything. The 4 Friesians is a single piece compiled from a series of studies. The bay horse and gentleman is a copy of an older original, in order that both daughters would have identical portraits of their father. The sizes of these pieces range from 20" x 48" graphite, 18" x 24" oil, 16" x 20" gouache, to 8" x 12" graphite, and pen and ink.
